Steven Gerrard has reportedly asked to leave Al-Ettifaq, along with assistant Michael Beale.
The ex-Liverpool midfielder has been in charge of the Saudi Arabian side since July 2023. In January 2024, Gerrard signed a new two-year deal which would've in theory kept him at the club until 2026.
Under the former England man's stewardship, Al-Ettifaq finished in sixth position last year, but this season, results have slipped and they currently sit 12th.
The club are said to be respectful of the boss' decision and an exit package is currently being finalised.
It's still unknown whether Gerrard will remain in Saudi Arabia in a football development role, or move elsewhere.
