Napoli are looking to the Premier League again for their reinforcements, this time reportedly targeting Chelsea wide forward Raheem Sterling as an alternative to Dan Ndoye.
The Partenopei have already picked up Kevin De Bruyne as a free agent from Manchester City, after turning Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay into the star of his debut Serie A season.
Now the Corriere dello Sport newspaper claim that they are evaluating a possible swoop for Chelsea outcast Sterling.
The England international will turn 30 in December and can play in a variety of attacking roles, making him a valuable potential addition to Antonio Conte’s team.
His contract with Chelsea only runs to June 2027 and he spent last season on loan with Arsenal, where he managed only 13 starts in all competition for a total 28 games.
Sterling contributed one goal and five assists in the Gunners jersey.
He could be seen as either an additional forward, but more likely an alternative to Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, who would cost over €40m including add-ons.
