The stage looks set for Liverpool to sign another €100m star. What a transfer window this could be.
Liverpool have already shocked world football this summer by signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. This was a transfer previously considered impossible.

Bayern Munich were all but certain to sign Wirtz. The German superstar of the moment heading to Bavaria - it's just how it goes.
They did have a rival, however. Manchester City sought a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne and Wirtz fit the bill nicely.
In the end, either signed Wirtz and he went to Anfield. An end to the saga that absolutely no one saw coming.
Liverpool broke their transfer record to sign Wirtz and clinched their very first signing above €100m. What's really made, though, is that the stage is set for them to do it all over again.
AS reports that Liverpool are now in the race for Rodrygo Goes. The Brazilian is being pushed out of Real Madrid, in all honesty, after barely playing at the FIFA Club World Cup.
And he’s exactly what Liverpool need on their left flank, should Luis Diaz depart the club. That’s the other side of this - Diaz is pushing for an exit, with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich interested in signing him.
A sale would leave Liverpool wanting a new forward to fill that role of a versatile, dynamic attacker. Rodrygo is exactly that.
And so is Rodrygo is to leave Real Madrid, we don’t see a better destination than Anfield. Liverpool would have the space and the money if Diaz departed, while the club has already shown the kind of ambition this summer that the 24-year-old would want to see.
It’s understood by everyone that Liverpool do have the financial room this summer to make another big signing. Wirtz, after all, was paid for by the fact the Reds made a profit the summer before winning the Premier League title.
The big spend can still arrive, then. Alexander Isak is certainly one name on the shortlist and maybe that’s where the money goes.
Newcastle United are incredibly hesitant to sell, though. And if that stance holds (and we do suspect it will) then Rodrygo is there as the perfect big-money signing.
Everything is fitting together for this one quite perfectly. The stage looks set.
