One of Southampton's summer transfer targets will be made available.
Crystal Palace are willing to listen to offers for 22-year-old winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi this summer amid interest from Southampton.
After his first loan spell with Charlton Athletic in the 2022/23 campaign, when he provided 24 goal contributions as a 20-year-old, it felt like every club in the second tier was vying to get Rak-Sakyi into their team.
That following season, the winger unexpectedly wasn't sent out to develop, but rather kept in house at Selhurst Park, despite a mound of interest in the player. It was a different story when last summer rolled around, though.
Again, a number of Championship clubs knocked on the Eagles' door again asking for his services. He told the manager, Oliver Glasner, that he wanted to go on loan, and he ended up at Bramall Lane with Sheffield United.
Crystal Palace are willing to listen to offers for 22-year-old winger Rak-Sakyi this summer, according to News Shopper.
Rak-Sakyi, whose temporary side Sheffield United will play for the chance to win promotion to the Premier League against Sunderland in the Championship play-off final on Saturday, may not have lived up to the hopes and dreams that the Blades first had for him when they signed him.
They paid a hefty amount of his wages and a seven-figure loan fee in order to have the privilege of accessing his talents, as per Alan Nixon, and for that he has returned nine goal contributions in all competitions.
The likes of Southampton, who are reported to want to sign Rak-Sakyi this summer, haven't been put off by his numbers, however.
They originally tried to buy him before the Blades got him on loan, offering a £5 million-plus package for the youngster, and are willing to splash cash on Palace's wide player once again, according to Nixon.
Palace will need to raise some funds in order to bulk out their squad for next season when they will compete in the Europa League as a result of their FA Cup win, and Rak-Sakyi is one of the players that they are willing to listen to offers for.
Southampton are reportedly edging closer to appointing RC Lens boss Will Still as their new first-team leader.
He revealed at the end of the Ligue 1 season, in which his side finished eighth, that he wanted to return to the UK, and the Saints quickly swooped into position to try and swipe him up.
He earned infamy as manager of Stade Reims, where he worked with a lot of young players and led them on a very long unbeaten run in France's top division.
The 32-year-old's ability to get the best out of players who have the same relative level of youth as he does is one of his strongest assets, and should really help someone like Rak-Sakyi if he were to sign on as the Saints' new boss this summer.
