Real Madrid have reportedly already made up their minds regarding the future of two young talents who are currently developing their skills away from the club.
According to sources from Fichajes, the likes of Nico Paz and Miguel Gutierrez are set to return to the Spanish capital in the next summer transfer window. The club will trigger the buy-back clauses included in their respective deals, ensuring their comeback.
Having spent their formative years in Real Madrid’s academy, both Paz and Gutierrez are considered promising prospects.
Their return to the squad will see them take part in pre-season preparations, where the coaching staff will assess their capabilities before deciding on their immediate future.
Although there is no certainty that either player will secure a permanent spot in the first-team squad, Madrid’s management views their return as a strategic move.
Whether they strengthen the squad or are later sold for profit, bringing them back is seen as a smart investment.

Squad dynamics and contract situations also play a role in this decision. Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia are both under contract until 2027, which complicates Gutierrez’s chances of securing a regular role at left-back.
Meanwhile, Nico faces stiff competition in a crowded midfield, where Carlo Ancelotti already has several well-established options.
Despite these challenges, Real Madrid believe both players hold significant potential and do not want to miss the opportunity to bring them back at a reduced cost.
Although the season is far from over, Madrid are taking a cautious approach. The club will closely monitor potential departures and squad adjustments before finalising any decisions.
What remains certain is that both Paz and Gutierrez will don the Real Madrid jersey again next summer, at least for pre-season.
From that point, the club will determine whether they have a place at the Santiago Bernabeu or if a move elsewhere would be more beneficial for their development and market value.
