The mission to recover a strong sense of unity has begun at Milanello today with Geoffrey Moncada present at training, according to Manuele Baiocchini of Sky.

A number of different figures have ended up in the crosshairs after the defeat against Fiorentina on Sunday night, one which meant that Milan missed out on the chance to go second in the table despite a stuttering start that has seen them win just three of seven games.

That record extends to three of nine games when factoring in the Champions League so far and there is pressure on Fonseca to turn it around, but also on the players to take some accountability and also the management’s summer choices are being questioned as well.

Speaking live from the training ground today, Baiocchini offered an update on Milan’s return to training which of course took place without the many players away with their national teams at the moment.

“Moncada arrived at Milanello today to watch Milan’s training. I think it’s an important signal from the management, who want to stay close to Fonseca in this complicated moment,” he said (via MilanNews).

“The team will have to find solutions together with the coach and better manage those somewhat annoying incidents that have happened in the last few games.

“The Rossoneri leaders are not helping the team as they should, it’s a moment of nervousness. Milan will have to start again with a different spirit and above all with a different points average.”
