Inter Milan will likely have a number of changes to their starting eleven in Saturday’s Serie A match away to Sassuolo.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi went with a very strong lineup in the team’s Serie A match against Torino last Sunday.

There had been the expectation that the coach would make a number of changes.

After all, Inter had clinched the Serie A title in their previous match, the derby against AC Milan.

However, Inzaghi largely went with the first-choice starting eleven.

This perhaps reflected the coach’s desire to not be overrun by an aggressive Torino side who could take advantage to any lack of fluidity in the Inter formation.

Moreover, Inter are still aiming to finish the season strongly despite having clinched the title. The possibility of exceeding a hundred points remains – and there are records to chase.

But according to the Corriere, Inzaghi is ready to make changes this coming weekend.

The 48-year-old could hand starts to a number of players who have not started very often this season.

Inzaghi has the opportunity to start testing out younger players who have not featured much this campaign – but could take on greater roles next season.

The Nerazzurri return to training today. This follows their celebrations of the Serie A title.

And Inzaghi will be deciding on the lineup for this Saturday’s match based on what he sees in the next few training sessions.

Inter travel to Emilia-Romagna to face Sassuolo.

The Neroverdi are the only team to have beaten Inter in Serie A this season.

However, in spite of that victory over the champions, Sassuolo are currently in the bottom three of the Serie A table.
