A sidelined member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is closing on an imminent return to the pitch.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Eduardo Camavinga as the player in question.
France international Camavinga, for his part, is yet to take to the pitch in a competitive setting this season.
As much comes after the 21-year-old suffered a knee injury during a training session in the buildup to Real Madrid’s European Super Cup showdown with Atalanta last month.
Camavinga’s absence has been sorely felt in Los Blancos’ engine room, amid the ongoing efforts of Carlo Ancelotti and co. to account for the exit of Toni Kroos.
All associated with the Spanish champions, in turn, will no doubt be excited to hear of the latest news regarding Camavinga’s recovery.
As per a report from Relevo, the former Stade Rennais talent is ‘close’ to marking his return to the pitch.
In fact, the expectation at Valdebebas is that Camavinga will link back up with his teammates in training at some point next week, ahead of potentially taking his place in Ancelotti’s matchday squad to face Atlético in the Madrid Derby on September 29th.
