According to Andy Giddings, the Blades’ boss has revealed that players still in the squad have been subject to offers.

It has been a busy transfer period at Bramall Lane following the Yorkshire outfit’s relegation to the Championship.

A number of players have departed Sheffield United, including Will Osula, Jayden Bogle and Bénie Traoré.

With the transfer window set to close on 30 August, there could yet be further exits from the first team squad.

Speculation has been mounting about multiple first team members of the Sheffield United squad going into the last week of the summer window.

Football Insider have reported that Ipswich Town are in advanced talks over a move for Ahmedhodzic.

It has been reported by Mike McGrath that Arblaster is attracting interest from the likes of Ipswich and Southampton.

The 20-year-old stood out as a promising talent in the Premier League last season, having come through the ranks of the academy system to break into the senior setup.

Anthony Joseph has also claimed that Auston Trusty could be heading for the exit, with Celtic eyeing a possible move for the centre-back.

Speaking ahead of the clash this weekend against Norwich City, Wilder confirmed that bids have been received for multiple players, but he refused to name any names.

The 56-year-old also suggested that not all of the offers they have received have been genuine attempts to sign their players, suggesting some were made to cause unrest.

It remains to be seen whether any Sheffield United deals will be completed in the final week of the window.

Supporters will be keen to see key players stay, as the likes of Arblaster and Trusty could be crucial to a promotion push this season.

Sheffield United’s 2024 summer transfer activity

Sheffield United have also made a number of signings this summer, in a bid to build a team capable of a top-two spot in the Championship.

The likes of Harrison Burrows, Kieffer Moore, and Callum O’Hare, among others, have been signed to Wilder’s squad.

The Blades have earned four points from their opening two league fixtures, beating Preston North End in the opening game before drawing 2-2 at home to QPR.

Wilder’s side will take on Norwich on Saturday at Carrow Road in a 3pm kick-off, with this being their last fixture before the market closes next Friday.

Could be a busy end to the window for Sheffield United

These comments suggest that it could be a busy last few days in the market for Sheffield United.

Supporters will be hoping no more major sales are made, but there are no guarantees of that at this stage.

Arblaster’s departure in particular would be a big blow to the team, as he has proven a great asset for the squad since cementing his breakthrough into the squad last year.

Ahmedhodzic’s impending exit will also surely lead to a new defensive signing before the window closes, as he will need to be replaced if he does go.
