Sheffield United United have officially announced that manager Chris Wilder has left the club.
The Blades finished third in the Championship this season but missed out on promotion after a heartbreaking injury-time defeat to Sunderland in last month’s play-off final at Wembley.

The 57-year-old was in his second stint in charge of his boyhood club and had been aiming to lead them to a third promotion under his management.
Assistant manager Alan Knill and coach Matt Prestridge will also be departing along with Wilder.
Former Southampton, Reading, and Hull City boss Rubén Sellés is widely expected to step in as the new manager at Bramall Lane following Wilder’s departure.
