The brass at La Liga outfit Sevilla are preparing an appeal to the Spanish football authorities.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards as much as coming in relation to the recent red card shown to Dodi Lukébakio.
Sevilla were back in action on Thursday evening, make the trip to Pamplona for a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.
When all was said and done at El Sadar, the Nervionenses found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result.
The eventual outcome, though, marked far from the only concern for Joaquín Caparrós and his squad.
In addition, during the first-half of action, the aforementioned Dodi Lukébakio was shown a straight red card following an incident involving Alejandro Catena.
After the latter dragged Lukébakio back off the ball, the Sevilla attacker swung his arm in an attempt to break loose.
Catena from here went to ground clutching his face, with referee Cordero Vega having showed litte hesitation in producing a red card.
As alluded to above, though, the Sevilla board are not ready to accept as much without a fight.
As per a report from MD, despite the relatively low chance of success:
‘Sevilla will appeal to the Competition Committee against the straight red card received by Dodi Lukébakio in the 32nd minute of the Osasuna-Sevilla match.’
