The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have put in place a basic plan for the return to action of summer signing Dani Olmo.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Midfielder Olmo has for his part of course been sidelined since last month.

After enjoying a stellar start to life in Barcelona colours following his summer arrival from RB Leipzig, the 26-year-old was struck down by a hamstring injury during a La Liga meeting with Girona.

The last couple of weeks, though, have seen Olmo begin to take gradual steps back towards the pitch.

So much so that, in Barca’s first outing on the back of the international break, against Sevilla next weekend, the Spanish international is expected to be available for selection.

To what extent, though, is Olmo actually likely to feature?

As alluded to above, on Saturday, an insight into precisely as much has been provided.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the plan is for the attacking midfielder to feature for around half an hour against Sevilla.

From here, Olmo will ramp up to around 45 minutes in the Blaugrana’s Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich, with a view to recovering full fitness in time to feature from the off against Real Madrid on October 26th.
