The Serie A table remains incredibly close with seven rounds to go, but Napoli failed to cut into Inter’s lead at the top, while Bologna stay in fourth place.

This evening’s showdown at the Stadio Dall’Ara could’ve had a huge impact on the standings to finish off Week 31, after Inter were held to a 2-2 draw by Parma.

A victory here would’ve allowed Napoli to close the gap at the top of the table to just a single point, whereas Bologna had the opportunity to leapfrog Atalanta into third place.

Instead, the 1-1 draw keeps everything in the balance, with an extraordinarily tight battle for European places.

There were a series of stalemates in the other head-to-head battles, as Roma-Juventus and Milan-Fiorentina both ended in a share of the spoils.

It means that with seven rounds to go, there are six teams crammed into a six-point radius running from third to eighth.

Milan now have a mountain to climb if they want to qualify for the Champions League, but Europe could be within reach if they turn things around.
