Serie A: Most points earned in 2024 – Two-horse race, Juventus seventh | OneFootball

Reigning Serie A champions Inter finish the calendar year with the most points earned over the last 12 months, but the current league leaders, Atalanta, finished just a few points off Simone Inzaghi’s side in terms of their annual points tally.

Inter finished the 2024 calendar year with a total of 86 points earned from 36 matches played in Serie A for a total of 2.33 points per game (ppg). Inter would have somewhere between 88 and 89 points by that average stretched over a 38-game season.

Atalanta were the only other team in Serie A to earn 80 points or more in 2024. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side earned 80 points from 37 matches for an average rate of 2.16 points per game.

Lazio, largely thanks to the successful start to Marco Baroni’s tenure, finished in third for points earned this calendar year with 69 from 37 matches for an average of 1.84 points per game.

Milan, though eighth in the Serie A table as things stand, finished 2024 in fourth place for total points earned with 65 points from 36 games played for an average of 1.80 ppg. Bologna finished the year with the exact same record to finish in joint-fourth.
