Saelemaekers performance pushes Milan to increase Roma price tag | OneFootball

Roma want to make the loan move for Alexis Saelemaekers into a permanent one, but his good performances are prompting Milan to raise the price-tag.

The winger arrived on a dry one-season loan in the final minutes of the summer transfer session, in a straight swap with Tammy Abraham going the other way.

They had originally intended to include options to buy, but with no time to sort out the details, they decided to kick that can down the road.

While Abraham has stuttered at San Siro, Saelemaekers made a strong impact in the Giallorossi jersey with five goals and four assists in 22 competitive games, despite a lengthy injury lay-off.

According to Calciomercato.com, these performances have helped convince Milan that the Belgium international is perhaps worth more than the original €10m plan.

They could even be prepared to ask for €25m to make the move permanent, though Roma might not go above €20m at the most.
