Roma are preparing to turn the page as Claudio Ranieri is set to step away from coaching duties.
However, the club reportedly tried to keep the veteran technician beyond this season.
According to Stefano Petrucci on Radio Manà Manà Sport Roma, before the match against Milan, Roma vice-president Ryan Friedkin met with the coach to propose that he stay on the bench next season.
A request made with conviction, but which was rejected again.
Ranieri, who had repeatedly announced his intention to end his coaching career at the end of this season, maintained his position, confirming his ‘no’ to the management.
It would not have been the first attempt by the Giallorossi ownership: in recent weeks, in fact, there have been other contacts in an attempt to extend the relationship for at least another year.
