Foot Mercato understands that AS Roma’s Saud Abdulhamid (25) is nearing a loan move to Toulouse FC.
Until last summer, the defender had spent the entirety of his career in his native Saudi Arabia. He then signed for Roma, amid interest from two Ligue 1 clubs: Stade de Reims and Toulouse FC. However, in the Italian capital, Abdulhamid has found gametime limited, making just eight appearances in all competitions. However, he did make history in becoming the first Saudi Arabian player to score in European competition, netting in a UEFA Europa League game against Braga.
Like last summer, Abdulhamid has been linked with a move to France. This time, it is expected to come to fruition. He is expected to join Toulouse. That is despite RC Lens entering the race to sign the Saudi Arabia international. His preference for Le TéFéCé confirmed, his loan move is expected to be completed soon.
