Roma are preparing themselves for an eventful summer that will see many players leave the team.

The capital club are likely to once again miss out on their chief objective – the long-desired Champions League place.

As a result, the Friedkins have made it clear, along with CEO Lina Souloukou, that they intend to restructure the roster and accommodate Daniele De Rossi’s needs while also helping the team become more sustainable cost-wise.

Roma will thus terminate most loans including the ones of Lukaku, Azmoun, Sanches, Kristensen, Huijsen and Llorente.

With the additional exits of Rui Patricio and Spinazzola in free agency, as well as the sales of Rick Karsdorp, Chris Smalling, Roma should be able to save over €40 million in annual costs, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport. This will give the club a huge boost in terms of what they will be able to do in the summer for incoming transfers.
