Roma are lining up a series of potential reinforcements ahead of the January window.
Following a historically bad start to the season, the Giallorossi are still in time to turn things around.
However, this will require the club to intervene on the market, adding fresh reinforcements to Claudio Ranieri’s disposal.
Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is ready to look for two reinforcements in particular on the January market: a right-back and a striker, writes Corriere dello Sport.
Then, if opportunities were to materialize, Roma would also secure the addition of another central defender if the 3-man backline is confirmed.
Ghisolfi will look for a name that can certainly guarantee an upgrade on the wing, therefore one that can be superior to Celik who will return to the bench.
As for the striker, the search will focus instead on a suitable back-up option for Dovbyk, but of a high level.
Shomurodov does not give guarantees and Roma will try to sell him in the winter to some mid-low ranking club (or abroad) that needs a reinforcement.
In the meantime, the French sporting director will have to look for an experienced centre forward, who accepts coming off the bench but also who adapts to the characteristics of the Ukrainian to be able to play alongside him.
