Roma were knocked out of the Coppa Italia by basement Serie A side Cremonese on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho named a strong XI for the clash at Stadio Olimpico as the capital club looked to try and book their place in the semi-finals.

But it was the away side who took the lead early on as Cyriel Dessers netted from the spot.

The Portuguese boss made four changes at half time to try and turn things around for the Giallorossi but it wasn’t to be as Mehmet Celik put the ball into his own net just after the break.

And despite Andrea Belotti’s strike in the dying moments of injury time, Roma didn’t do enough to get back into the game and crashed out of the cup.
