Aston Villa faced off against Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes earlier tonight as they focused on securing a win in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. The Villans made a decent start to the game and took the lead in the 35th minute when Morgan Rogers found the back of the net. However, Desire Doue equalised for PSG just four minutes later as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave the French team the lead in the 48th minute. Nuno Mendes scored PSG’s third goal in injury time as Unai Emery’s men crashed to a lackluster 3-1 loss away from home.

He performed his defensive responsibilities well and had a couple of bright moments in the PSG half.
