However, all is not well with Roberto De Zerbi, as he has a lengthy injury list and some new big worries.

Nice for once for Newcastle United to (hopefully!) meet an opposition with more players ruled out than themselves.

Roberto De Zerbi has at least eight Brighton players unavailable to start against Newcastle United.

The following seven definitely not in the squad on Saturday:

Evan Ferguson (ankle)

Kaoru Mitoma (back)

Solly March (knee)

Pervis Estupinan (ankle)

Jan Paul van Hecke (thigh)

James Milner (thigh)

Whilst Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that an eighth might possibly make the subs bench but definitely can’t start the game against Newcastle.

“Tariq Lamptey can’t start tomorrow.

“We will see if he can come on the bench or not.”

It gets worse though, as Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that Joao Pedro is a big doubt for this Newcastle United match after picking up an ankle injury in training.

“It is sad news for us.

“It happened today I don’t know if he can play tomorrow.

“Joao [Pedro] is important because Julio Enciso and Ansu Fati are not in the best physical condition.”

Ansu Fati was an unused sub last weekend and Enciso has only started three Premier League matches this season, the last of those over a month ago, he was a second half sub last Sunday.

The one bit of good news for Roberto De Zerbi is that Adam Lallana returns after missing the win over Aston Villa with a knock.
