Strasbourg are hopeful of keeping hold of Andrey Santos for another season particularly if they qualify for the Champions League according to reports.
Santos arrived at Chelsea from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama for around £13m in the summer of 2023 has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Blues.
The 21-year-old had an ill fated loan spell at Nottingham Forest before being sent to Strasbourg where he impressed in the second half of last season, before the decision was taken to once again send him to the Ligue 1 outfit last summer.
This season Santos has excelled and has been one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1, with Strasbourg in with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
The Brazilian has excelled with nine goals and four assists in 30 league appearances, whilst he’s also captained the side, which is quite the feat for a loanee.

Liam Rosenior believes Santos will have a “magnificent” career, and he’s set to return to Chelsea to play a key role next season.
However, I News have reported Strasbourg are hopeful they can keep Santos for another season, particularly if they qualify for the Champions League.
The report adds that club sources state nothing is out of the question when it comes to the Brazilian’s future.
Santos has spoken on how he hopes to form a great partnership with Estevao Willian and it would be something of a surprise if he wasn’t part of the squad next season.
Santos won’t be the only midfielder arriving at Stamford Bridge this summer after the Blues agreed a deal in March with Sporting Lisbon worth £18.5m for Dario Essugo.
The 20-year-old could make his debut at the Club World Cup next month, and he’s expected to provide much needed cover for Moises Caicedo.
