Inter Milan outcast Mehdi Taremi reportedly remains a concrete target for newly promoted Serie A side Sassuolo.
According to Matteo Moretto via FCInter1908, Fabio Grosso’s men are reluctant to leave the race for the Iranian striker.
Mehdi Taremi has fallen out of favor at San Siro, with Inter keen to offload him in the final days of the transfer window.
However, they have so far struggled to find a club willing to match the 33-year-old’s €3 million per season wages.

It’s hard to imagine Sassuolo handing the Iranian center-forward the same salary he currently earns at Inter.
Yet, unlike Inter, the Neroverdi can offer Taremi regular first-team football in the World Cup year.
Whether it would be enough to convince the former Porto star to move to the Mapei Stadium remains uncertain.
Meanwhile, Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven remain firmly in the race, which could complicate Sassuolo’s pursuit.
Indeed, these two clubs are the likeliest candidates to sign the veteran striker at the tail-end of the transfer window.
