According to reports, Theo Hernandez and his entourage were told he can leave Milan in January if a suitable offer is tabled, amid Manchester United interest.
The left-back was dropped for the 0-0 draw with Genoa this weekend in Serie A, after coach Paulo Fonseca had bitterly criticised some players for not ‘giving their all’ in every match.
The fans also aimed insults at the player, who is one of the rotation of captains for this season.
His agent Manuel Quilon flew in yesterday for a meeting with Milan directors, but told reporters outside the club headquarters that they had “not talked about” a new contract.

Although Quilon reiterated that Theo Hernandez “wants to stay” and sign a new deal, the mood in the Milan camp is reportedly very different.
According to Tuttomercatoweb pundit Marco Conterio, while the Rossoneri have offered him a new deal worth €5m plus bonuses, they also informed Theo Hernandez that he can leave as early as January if a suitable offer comes in.
This will alert Manchester United, who seem most intent on making a bid for the France international.
