Frattesi certainly proved his value to Inter against Lecce yesterday.

In his first Serie A start in three months, the Italian international had a starring role. He scored the opening goal early on, had a second ruled out for a narrow offisde, and then won the penalty for 4-0.

Davide Frattesi Still Wants Move Away Despite Lecce 0-4 Inter Heroics

The timing of Frattesi’s performance yesterday was certainly intriguing.

The transfer rumours have been swirling around the 25-year-old former Sassuolo midfielder all month. Reportedly, he is fed up with his lack of playing time and wants a move to Roma.

After yesterday’s match, Davide Frattesi denied that he wants to leave Inter.

And the fact that Frattesi had played such a key role yesterday did make a move away seem less likely.

However, according to the Gazzetta, Frattesi’s feelings haven’t really changed. He still sees his future as being away from Inter.

Therefore, even in the last few days of the January transfer window – after Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Monaco – Frattesi’s agent could work to try and secure him an exit.
