AC Milan and Inter remain firmly embroiled in the race to sign Parma prodigy Giovanni Leoni this summer.

Per Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have already earmarked €30 million for the young gun.

Despite his young age and a relative lack of experience in top-flight football, he’s among Serie A’s most in-demand players.

Indeed, AC Milan and Inter lead the race for the 18-year-old.

Aware of growing interest in their prized asset, Parma have slapped a €30m price tag on Leoni’s head.

While Inter have the resources to meet the Crusaders’ valuation, Milan must offload Malick Thiaw first.

Though they’ve already agreed terms with Como, the German remains unconvinced by the move.

Thiaw’s hesitation could return to haunt Milan, putting Inter slightly ahead in this transfer tug-of-war.

Furthermore, the youngster’s desire to reunite with Cristian Chivu also favors the Nerazzurri.

As for Parma, they would ideally keep hold of Leoni for one more season.
