Inter Milan and Lille are still reportedly quite far apart on a transfer fee for defender Benjamin Pavard.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan signed Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich two years ago. And while he has made a big impact, there is a feeling that his form suffered a definite drop-off last season.
Furthermore, the Frenchman will turn thirty next campaign.
Therefore, there is a nagging sense that this may be the right time for Inter to cash in.

Meanwhile, Lille have set their surprise on Pavard as a shock return.
The Frenchman came through Lille’s youth team system before making a move to Stuttgart after 25 senior appearances for the club.
And Lille see a potential opportunity to bolster their squad in defense. They will be competing in the Europa League this season.
According to SportMediaset, however, the French club are still a long way away from convincing Inter on a deal for Pavard.
The Nerazzurri may be willing to offers for the 29-year-old this summer. However, that does not mean that they are going to offload him for a cut-price fee.
