Inter Milan are reportedly the front-runners to sign outgoing Valladolid rising star Juma Bah during the January transfer window.
According to Africafoot via FCInterNews, Bah’s representatives have acknowledged Inter’s genuine interest in their client.
Despite speculation linking Bah with a move to the Premier League, Giuseppe Meazza could be his landing spot.
“At the moment, Inter has shown the most interest and is moving quickly,” the statement read.
Moreover, Simone Inzaghi’s men are willing to pay the requested fee of €15 million.
However, Inter could probably close the deal at a lower figure in January.
Indeed, it may take only €6m to lure Bah away from La Liga.
Meanwhile, Barcelona and Manchester City are seemingly out of the way.
Pep Guardiola seems to have pulled the plug on his pursuit of Bah after initial contact.
As for Barcelona, their financial restraints forbid any incoming transfer activities this winter.
Therefore, the Serie A champions have a clear path to the 18-year-old.
Bah would unlikely get a prominent role from the get-go.
However, he’s an investment for the future, especially now that Francesco Acerbi could exit the club.
Marred with injuries these past few months, the veteran may bid farewell to Inter at the end of the season.
