Inter Milan center-back Yann Bisseck is reportedly on the verge of renewing his contract at Giuseppe Meazza.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, Bisseck’s renewal is a ‘matter of days,’ with the official announcement expected soon.

Yann Bisseck joined Inter from Danish outfit Aarhus in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €7 million, including add-ons.

Widely considered among Serie A’s most talented defenders, the 23-year-old has a bright future at Meazza.

Though his current deal runs out in 2028, the reigning Scudetto holders are keen to tie him down to fresh terms.

Indeed, Bisseck’s rise to prominence at Inter has caught the attention of several top European clubs.

Therefore, Beppe Marotta is reluctant to take any chances.

Instead, he’s determined to extend the German’s contract and put speculation to bed.

With Inter set to wave goodbye to Francesco Acerbi or Stefan de Vrij, they are ready to hand Bisseck a more prominent role.

Bisseck currently earns around €750,000 per year.

However, Inter are willing to double his salary to convince him to put pen to paper on a new deal.

That means he’d take home roughly €1.5 million net per season if he agrees to pledge his allegiance to the Nerazzurri.

Since the feeling is mutual, it’s only a matter of time before the agreement goes through.

Bisseck won the Serie A title in his first year at Inter.

Despite playing second fiddle to Benjamin Pavard for most of the season, Simone Inzaghi appreciated his contribution.

Indeed, the beginning of the new campaign probably best illustrates Inzaghi’s trust in Bisseck.

The ex-Aarhus man has started three of Inter’s four UEFA Champions League matches.

In addition, he has made six league appearances, though he spent the game against Napoli on the bench.
