Liverpool’s transfer plans for the upcoming summer window are already taking shape, and one name increasingly linked with a move to Anfield is Kenan Yildiz. The talented 19-year-old Turkish forward has caught the attention of several European giants, and Liverpool’s interest appears to be gathering momentum. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, super-agent Jorge Mendes has recently informed Juventus of the growing demand for their young star, with Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United also monitoring the situation closely.
Juventus’ hopes of progressing in the Champions League came to an abrupt end at the hands of PSV Eindhoven, who edged them out 4-3 on aggregate. With their European aspirations now in jeopardy and uncertainty looming over their participation in next season’s tournament, the Serie A giants may be forced into difficult financial decisions.
Per Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus aim to generate at least £83 million (€100m) in funds before the 2025/26 campaign, with Andrea Cambiaso and Dusan Vlahovic earmarked for potential departures. However, should the club struggle to offload those players at the desired prices, Yildiz could be sacrificed. Juventus are reportedly unwilling to part ways with their young gem, but an offer in the region of £75m (€90m) might be too tempting to refuse.
Mendes’ involvement is particularly intriguing. The Portuguese super-agent, spotted in Turin dining with Juventus director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli and later with Yildiz’s family, is clearly orchestrating a potential transfer. Liverpool are among the clubs said to be seriously evaluating a move, and with competition from other Premier League sides, a bidding war could be on the horizon.
The upcoming summer could see a significant reshuffling of Liverpool’s attacking options. Saudi Arabian interest in Darwin Nunez remains strong, and while he stayed put in January, an exit this summer is a strong possibility. Additionally, Luis Diaz’s future at Anfield is far from certain. With his contract running until 2027, Liverpool are yet to offer an extension, raising doubts over whether he remains in their long-term plans.
Yildiz, with his immense talent and age profile, could be the ideal candidate to fill Diaz’s boots should the Colombian move on. The Turkish international has already shown flashes of brilliance at Juventus, earning praise from club legend Alessandro Del Piero, who described one of his goals this season as “spectacular” on Sky Sport Italia via Il Bianco Nero.
With Arne Slot set to enter his second season in charge, Liverpool’s recruitment strategy will likely reflect his tactical preferences. The Dutch coach has had a full year to assess his squad and is expected to target reinforcements across several key positions, including a left-sided defender, a centre-back, a defensive midfielder, and a forward.
Yildiz’s versatility makes him an attractive option. Comfortable playing off the left or centrally, his technical ability, direct running, and eye for goal could make him an exciting asset under Slot. Liverpool have also been linked with Ademola Lookman, but at 26, the Nigerian does not offer the same long-term potential as Yildiz.
Should Liverpool pursue Yildiz, they will need to act decisively. With Juventus keen to generate funds and multiple suitors circling, any delay could see him snapped up elsewhere. Given his potential and the glowing endorsements from Italian football circles, an investment in Yildiz might be worth every penny.

Liverpool fans have every reason to be excited about the links to Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish forward represents everything the club should be looking for – youth, talent, and enormous potential. At just 19, he’s already showcasing his ability at a high level in Serie A, and under the right guidance, he could develop into one of the world’s top wingers.
The possible departure of Luis Diaz, while not yet confirmed, does raise questions about the club’s long-term plan for the left-wing position. If Liverpool do decide to move on from Diaz, Yildiz would be an exciting, albeit costly, alternative. The reported £75m price tag is steep, but in today’s market, a player of his age and ability could be a worthwhile investment.
From a tactical perspective, Yildiz’s ability to drift inside, take on defenders, and contribute both goals and assists makes him a perfect fit for Slot’s high-intensity system. His performances for Juventus have already demonstrated that he thrives in a demanding environment, and playing alongside Liverpool’s talented attackers could elevate his game even further.
The competition from Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United cannot be ignored. If Liverpool are serious about signing him, they will need to act fast. But given his potential and the club’s track record in developing young talent, Anfield could be the perfect destination for Yildiz to flourish.
