According to a report from L’Équipe, Stade de Reims have given permission to Marshall Munetsi (28) to speak to Wolverhampton Wanderers as a move to the Premier League etches closer.
Reims and Wolves had already reached an agreement in principle for the midfielder to leave on transfer deadline day for a fee thought to be around €20 million with bonuses included. However, the move rests on Reims being able to find a replacement.
Reims have not yet found their successor with Montpellier HSC shutting the door on their ambition to secure France Olympic star Joris Chotard (23). Instead, L’Équipe writes that Reims will look at Mory Gbane (24) who plays for Portuguese side Gil Vicente.
Reims will have an active end to the window with the club looking to also bring in a defender and an attacker, not to mention a new head coach after they sacked Luka Elsner following a poor set of results.
