Chelsea take on PSG tonight in the Club World Cup final, and we can’t wait.
The Blues have built up to this all season, finishing the campaign strong and carrying that form into this summer tournament.
They’ve had an easy run so far, but that changes now, as they take on the world’s best club side. Captain Reece James isn’t feeling the pressure, however.
“We are expecting a tough game, don’t get me wrong, they’re an amazing team, but we are an amazing team and I think we will surprise a lot of people We have come a long way in our journey from where we started, and we are all looking forward to the game,” James said in quotes picked up by the club’s official website.
“Stats, data, favourites, not favourites, it doesn’t mean much to me or the team. It is something that makes other people happy. This is two great young sides playing against each other on the biggest stage and we are going to go toe-to-toe.”

Maresca is known as a highly detail oriented coach, and is always talking about the absurd number of hours of video prep he does for each game. But according to James, there’s been nothing special laid out for this game, despite the fact that it’s a final against the best team in the world:
“I think we will prepare as if we’re playing another game. It’s a final, but we prepare every game like we want to win,” the captain said.
That’s probably smart. And we’re sure the manager will have some tricks up his sleeve. He loves to surprise with his lineup and setup, and we’re sure we’ll see some of that today.
