A RedBird representative has denied reports that Gerry Cardinale is looking to sell 22% of his stake in Milan, but the Rossoneri owners are still on the lookout for new investors, according to Saturday’s updates.

Reports Cardinale not looking to sell Milan stake

Reports from La Repubblica on Friday suggested that Cardinale was looking to sell 22% of his stake in Milan, but a spokesperson has since told Reuters that he is not looking to cut ties with the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com hint that RedBird could still look to bring in new investors, and some shares in Milan could be exchanged at a lower level, but that should not have an impact on the day-to-day running or management of the club.

The owners’ intention remains the same, which is to return Milan to the upper echelons of the league and Champions League standings.

As per Calciomercato.com, the minimum target for the current campaign is qualification for the 2025-26 edition of the Champions League.

Off the pitch, the biggest priority for the club owners is to find a solution to the current stadium dilemma, and whether to push for an entirely new ground, or to come to an agreement for a major redevelopment of their current home in San Siro.
