Having joined Real Madrid on the back of insane hype, Endrick has had a slow start to his life in the Spanish capital.

During his first season at the club, the youngster could only muster a little over 800 minutes of competitive action despite Real Madrid’s lack of depth in the offensive unit.

Endrick did score as many as seven goals, but he couldn’t win the trust of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Even heading into the new season, Endrick picked up an injury ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which saw the rise of Gonzalo Garcia.

The young Garcia is also likely to be handed the number nine shirt at Real Madrid next season, which doesn’t bode well for the future of Endrick.

However, even as things start to fall apart before the start of the season, Endrick has yet to lose any hope.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the young Brazilian is drawing inspiration from the story of Vinicius Junior, who also endured a slow start to his career at Real Madrid.

But over time, Vinicius became a force to be reckoned with and is now considered one of the best players in world football.

Endrick is eyeing a similar trajectory. He is ready to be patient and wait for his opportunity. He is keen on fighting for his place in the first team.

Endrick, therefore, is not thinking about leaving Real Madrid anytime soon, despite speculation linking him with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

While Garcia has impressed many with his performances, the season is long, and under Xabi Alonso, Endrick will hope to receive more opportunities than he was getting under Ancelotti last season.
