A recent report from MARCA suggests that while Real Madrid remain focused on signing Trent Alexander-Arnold, the rise of young Jesus Fortea could reshape their transfer plans.

It is no secret that strengthening the right-back and centre-back positions has become essential for Real Madrid as they look to reinforce their defensive line.

Fortea’s presence in first-team training and his recent inclusion in potential line-ups hint that the club views him as a valuable asset. This was not a surprise, as there were indications weeks earlier that Real Madrid saw Fortea as a potential backup for Lucas Vazquez.

His rapid development is promising, and he might just step up to fill the role if needed in the upcoming fixtures.

Fortea holds the key

If Carlo Ancelotti decides to give Fortea a chance, and the young talent performs well, Real Madrid could delay signing a new right-back until next summer.

If Vazquez is unavailable, Real Madrid could turn to Eder Militao as a makeshift right-back or rely on Fortea, who is showing promise in training.
