Real Madrid will face Barcelona in the Supercopa de España final following a 3-0 semi-final victory over Mallorca on Thursday.
Scorer: Bellingham 61', 90+3' Valjent (OG), Rodrygo 90+6'
Carlo Ancelotti's side was on the front foot from the first whistle, with stars Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo alert. Goalkeeper Dominik Greif was kept on his toes to deny the quartet most of the game.
A surprise counterattack, however, could have handed Mallorca a shock lead when Cyle Larin beat Antonio Rūdiger for pace. Unfortunately for him, his unmarked header missed the target from point-blank range.
Madrid continued playing wide and struggled to deconstruct Mallorca's organised defence. Such an approach led to the game being deadlocked at halftime despite 15 shots.
Los Blancos continued to dictate the game after the break but lost Aurélien Tchouaméni due to a head injury. The French midfielder walked off on his own accord before heading for treatment.
After over an hour of Mallorca hanging on by the skin of their teeth, they finally cracked. Madrid's attackers poured forward and after Rodrygo hit the post, Mbappé was denied on the rebound until Bellingham eventually squeezed the ball home.
The Englishman continues to be in fine form for the giants from the Spanish capital. The moment was his 10th goal contribution in his last nine games for the club.
Mallorca's inability to register a shot on target was the reason why they failed to muster up a comeback. Then to make matters worse, a late own goal from Martin Valjent poked the ball home for 2-0 before Rodrygo piled on the misery by sweeping home a late third in the dying moments.
