La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to bring a former member of the club’s midfield ranks back with a view to next season.
The player in question? Nico Páz.
Youngster Páz, for his part, secured a departure from the Spanish capital last summer.
In the knowledge that his route to first-team minutes remained a crowded one at best this season, the Argentine international made the call to leave his long-time club behind.
Páz, in turn, put pen to paper on terms with Serie A newcomers Como, under the watch of midfield icon Cesc Fàbregas.
The 20-year-old has since enjoyed a stellar start to life in Italy, shining on his way to six goals and four assists from the heart of the Como engine room.
Such excellence has long given rise to murmurs that Páz’s form has already piqued the attention of those back at Real Madrid, who secured a buyback option as part of the terms of his sale.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then Los Blancos appear to have every intention of activating as much.
As per a report from Marca:
‘Nico Páz is set to be one of the signings or changes, as Valdebebas likes to call them, that will come in the run-up to next season. Now his return as a fully-fledged first-team player is close and he will become a great asset.’
