Real Madrid star set for international recall | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé is set to be recalled to the French national team squad for the country’s next round of fixtures.

As much was confirmed by none other than Didier Deschamps on Friday.

Frontman Mbappé was for his part omitted from each of France’s most recent squads, late in 2024.

This came amid what was an altogether difficult start to life for the 26-year-old in Spain’s capital, following his summer arrival from Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappé, of course, has since managed to turn things around, now looking close to his brilliant best once more in the colours of Real Madrid.

And as much, as alluded to above, is set to culminate in an international recall.

France will be back in action next month, when they lock horns with Croatia in a pair of Nations League quarter-final fixtures.

And, drawn on whether Mbappé is part of his plans for the two games by L’Équipe on Friday, Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) went on to confirm:

“He will be part of the squad, yes.”
