Real Madrid star picks up Champions League ban | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Wednesday evening picked up a European suspension.

The player in question? Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Midfielder Tchouaméni, for his part, was in from the off once more this evening, as Real Madrid turned their focus back towards matters on the continent.

In the 2nd leg of the Champions League Last-16 tie between the clubs, Los Blancos have made the short trip across Spain’s capital, for a showdown with Diego Simeone’s Atlético.

As things stand, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops find themselves a goal down, owing to a close-range finish on the part of Conor Gallagher inside the opening 60 seconds.

And as alluded to above, this is far from Real Madrid’s only concern to this point in the action on Wednesday.

In addition, the reigning Champions League holders have seen one of their star men pick up a suspension.

Owing to a challenge in the middle of the park during the first-half, Aurélien Tchouaméni was shown his latest yellow card.

And as much means that the France international is facing up to a one-game ban, set to be served – in the case of Real Madrid advancing – in the upcoming quarter-final first-leg.
