A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has made his way back onto the transfer wishlist of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Rodrygo as the player in question.

The name of frontman Rodrygo has of course taken its place centre stage in the media headlines surrounding Real Madrid across the summer to date.

This comes after the 24-year-old was widely tipped to bring a close to his time on the books of Los Blancos.

After struggling for game-time at the recent Club World Cup, it has been suggested that Rodrygo does not feature prominently in the plans of new boss Xabi Alonso.

Those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu, in turn, will no doubt be intrigued by the latest word stemming from the media on Monday.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of journalist Fabrizio Romano that, after giving the green light to the respective departures of Jack Grealish and Savinho, Manchester City have set their sights firmly on Rodrygo’s signature.
