Real Madrid star admitted to hospital | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Thursday been admitted to a local hospital in Miami, Florida.

This comes with the Frenchman suffering with what is described as ‘an acute case of gastroenteritis’.

Frontman Mbappé was for his part a notable absentee on Wednesday night, as Real Madrid got their campaign up and running at the Club World Cup.

This came after reports surfaced earlier in the week that the 26-year-old was suffering from a sudden bout of illness.

And as alluded to above, this afternoon, the same issue has proven serious enough to force Mbappé into hospital.

As per a statement cross Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:

‘Our player Kylian Mbappé is suffering from an acute case of gastroenteritis and has been admitted to hospital in order to undergo a series of tests and follow the appropriate course of treatment.’

It is, in turn, considered as altogether unlikely that the attacker will play his part in Los Blancos’ 2nd outing at the Club World Cup, against Pachuca on Sunday.
