Real Madrid set to part ways with talented 20-year-old academy forward – report | OneFootball

The summer transfer window, by far, is the busiest part of the year for Real Madrid’s La Fabrica as the academy regularly looks to move out players with good external offers irrespective of the level.

So far, the club have already parted ways with several young talents in the Castilla side including Rafel Obrador, Jacobo Ramon and Yusi Lekhedim.

A recent report from MARCA, however, brings to light that Real Madrid are now set to part ways a top talent from the Real Madrid C team.

A prodigal striker moving out

As relayed by the Spanish outlet, Real Madrid C striker Baba Diocou is the player who is seen to be at the exit door and is already studying offers on his table. All signs point to him leaving this summer.

Diocou has been one of the longest-serving players at La Fabrica and most talented forwards in the academy. He arrived in 2017 to be part of Infantil B and went on to progress up the ranks as his development furthered.

Last season, he was registered with Real Madrid C but went on to make his debut for the Castilla team under Raul’s command as he represented the team against Alcoyano. He did not stop there and went on to rack up three more appearances for them from there on.

While the 20-year-old’s growth was indeed promising, a debut for the Castilla at his age almost closes the door to any role in the first team. A departure at this stage, thus, would work out well for all parties involved.

Last season, Diocou made 14 appearances for the C team and four for the Castilla side under Raul, scoring one goal in the process. With his future now pointing out of the club, it remains to be seen where he plans his next step to be.
