According to a recent report from SPORT, it has come to light that Endrick and Arda Guler are considering leaving Real Madrid in search of more playing time to boost their chances of representing their national teams at the 2026 World Cup.

The young talents, who are seen as key prospects for the future, have found themselves struggling for minutes under Carlo Ancelotti. Despite showing glimpses of their talent whenever they are given the chance, they remain on the fringes of the squad.

At the start of the year, there were indications that both players were unhappy with their limited roles and were even open to leaving the club during the winter transfer window.

However, Real Madrid opted to maintain squad stability and did not entertain any exits. Now, as the summer approaches, the situation is expected to change, with both players keen on securing more regular game time elsewhere.

Least used players

Currently, Endrick and Guler are among the least-used players in the squad. Guler sits in 17th place, while Endrick is just behind him in 18th among Real Madrid’s 20 outfield players.

Their lack of involvement has led to growing frustration, as they continue to be regulars on the bench without significant opportunities on the pitch. Endrick has gone 18 matches without playing, while Guler has missed out on 12 games.

Both players are well aware of the fierce competition within the squad, but they also understand that Real Madrid signed them for a reason.

Yet, they feel that Ancelotti has not shown enough faith in them, often only bringing them on in the closing minutes of matches when the result is already decided. They are ambitious and unwilling to accept their current roles as mere substitutes.

Want to earn more playing time

Their main objective is to secure a place in their respective national teams for the upcoming World Cup. Guler has a more stable position within the Turkish squad due to less competition in his country, whereas Endrick faces a tougher challenge to break into the Brazilian team.

Given the circumstances, both players believe that staying at Real Madrid will only hurt their chances.

With this in mind, they are looking for a summer exit, preferably on loan to a top club where they can develop further and make a strong case for inclusion in the World Cup squads.

Remaining at Real Madrid for another season with limited game time is not an option they are willing to accept. They know that playing regularly is the only way to earn their spots, and if Madrid cannot offer them that, they are determined to find it elsewhere.
