Real Madrid ‘on the verge’ of Vinícius Jr. agreement | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are close to sewing up a contract agreement with a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Vinícius Jr. as the player in question.

Wide-man Vinícius is of course in the midst of something of a hit-and-miss campaign to date.

After being pipped to the Ballon d’Or following a stellar season in 2023/24, the Brazilian has since struggled to conjure up such excellence on a consistent basis this time round.

Amid long-standing interest in his services by way of the Saudi Pro League, it had in turn been suggested that Real Madrid could be tempted to cash in this summer.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Spain’s capital on Wednesday is anything to go by, then this will not be the case.

As per Fabrizio Romano:

‘Vinícius Jr, on the verge of reaching an agreement with Real Madrid over new deal for the next five years. Deal almost done as La Ser reported, waiting to clarify whether gonna be valid until 2030 or 2029 with option to extend.’
