Following the closure of the international break, Real Madrid are set to return to La Liga action on Saturday, as they take on Celta Vigo at the Balaidos stadium, where they have been unbeaten for a decade.
As the Spanish champions prepare for this crucial match, injury concerns loom large, with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois emerging as a major doubt.
Indeed, according to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is currently racing against time to be fit for the upcoming fixture.
The star goalkeeper suffered an adductor injury in his left leg during the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano.
Initially expected to be sidelined for about two weeks, Courtois was expected to recover in time for the Celta Vigo match and has even been doing training sessions with the team this week.

However, the report suggests that the key Real Madrid star is not yet at 100% and remains doubtful for the clash.
On a more positive note, Eder Militao is available for selection. The Brazilian centre-back, who picked up a muscle issue against Villarreal, has fully recovered and has been training normally this week.
As such, Militao is expected to be at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal for the trip to Galicia.
Meanwhile, Vinicius Jr. is another player who has shaken off injury concerns. The Brazilian forward experienced neck problems after the Villarreal match and skipped international duty to recover in Madrid.
The Brazilian has since trained with his teammates without apparent issues, indicating his likely availability for Saturday’s game. Similarly, Kylian Mbappe, who had been nursing minor muscular discomfort, is expected to be fit for the match.
