The future of Vinicius Jr. has been a hot topic at Real Madrid in recent years, especially after Saudi Arabia decide to woo the forward with a multi-million deal.
Although Vinicius has not gone anywhere, the lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia still remains in the back of his end.
This is why Real Madrid are keen on renewing the contract of the Brazilian international, so that his future long-term future at Santiago Bernabeu can be secured.
There is some encouraging news coming out of Valdebebas, though, with Tomas Gonzalez-Martin on El Debate reporting that Vinicius Jr. will renew his contract at Real Madrid.
The Brazilian is expected to pen a new deal until 2029, which could go a long way in helping Real Madrid shut down Saudi Arabia’s attempts to sign him.
The report suggests both parties are close to reaching an agreement over this new deal, although negotiations have been far from tricky.

The player’s representative has been pushing for a higher salary, one close to €30 million per season, but Real Madrid have been reluctant to break the club’s wage structure.
Talks have focused on alternative economic benefits such as image rights and bonuses, rather than a straightforward salary bump.
But despite the back-and-forth, both parties are optimistic of reaching an agreement.
Vinicius, for his part, is aware that his value has skyrocketed, but he also realises he has more time left in Europe. To him, Saudi Arabia, who had offered €1 billion over five years, can wait.
A renewal of Vincius, therefore, may only be a matter of time as Real Madrid look to seal the long-term future of one of their biggest stars.
