Real Madrid join Barcelona in hunt for Borussia Dortmund starlet | OneFootball

La Liga champions Real Madrid have joined arch rivals Barcelona in the race for a member of the attacking ranks at Borussia Dortmund.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Jamie Gittens as the player in question.

Gittens, for those not familiar with his name, is a 20-year-old attacker, who generally operates on the left flank.

The Englishman has enjoyed something of a breakout season to date on the books of the aforementioned Borussia Dortmund, with 11 goals and four assists in 34 appearances to his name.

Gittens boasts explosive pace, superb close control and impressive finished product for a player of such tender years.

Such abilities have begun to pique attentions across other areas of the continent, with the aforementioned Barcelona having recently been credited with a keen interest in his signature.

And the Blaugrana are not the only club in Spain to have earmarked Gittens as a potential future addition.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Gittens, who they see as a good option for the future if he becomes available.’
