Liverpool center back Ibrahima Konaté has yet to agree to a contract extension this summer, fueling speculation about his next move, as PSG and Real Madrid are pursuing the defender.
According to a recent report from Diario AS, Real Madrid’s pursuit may depend on Liverpool lowering its asking price. The Spanish club values Konaté between €20 million and €25 million, while Liverpool are holding out for closer to €50 million.
Konaté is reportedly open to a move, but Madrid may wait until 2026, aiming to sign him on a free transfer.
Foot Mercato recently reported that Konaté has been offered to several top European clubs—including PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona—making a transfer after his contract expires increasingly likely.

Defensa Central reports that Real Madrid and Liverpool are believed to be €15 million apart in their valuations of Konaté. Real Madrid have put forward €25 million, while Liverpool are holding out for €40 million.
Recently, Football Insider reported Konaté could leave Liverpool in the January transfer window if the club signs Marc Guéhi this summer. Real Madrid have long admired the France international, whose contract with Liverpool runs until June 2026.
Meanwhile, Konaté currently earns £70,000 a week but has told Liverpool he wants £200,000 per week to sign a new contract, according to DaveOCKOP.com.
The Premier League champions are pushing for a deal focused primarily on performance-related bonuses, while Konaté is holding out for a higher guaranteed base salary.
