Real Madrid handed major injury boost | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been able to celebrate some altogether positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that young defender Joan Martínez has at last managed a return to group training activities.

Stopper Martínez, for his part, was of course dealt nothing short of a hammer blow early last season.

Fresh off breaking into the first-team picture at Real Madrid at just 16 years of age during the summer, the Spaniard was ruled out for the entirety of the campaign.

This came owing to an ACL tear, which forced the Spanish starlet under the knife early in September of 2024.

Joan has spent the time since working tirelessly towards a return to the pitch.

And as alluded to above, this week, the defender has taken an altogether significant step towards precisely as much.
